ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

In this webinar, Stanford University Professor Mark Z. Jacobson discusses his recently-published book, “No Miracles Needed: How Today’s Technology Can Save Our Climate and Clean Our Air.

Joining Jacobson as the webinar’s moderator is Ken Cook, president and cofounder of Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.

A top authority on climate policy, Jacobson is a driving force behind the science informing the Green
New Deal and related laws at all levels of government. At Stanford, Jacobson is a professor of civil and environmental engineering and directs the Atmosphere/Energy program.

Cook is widely recognized as one of the environmental community’s most prominent and influential
critics of industrial agriculture, U.S. food and farm policy and the nation’s broken approach to protecting families and children from toxic substances.

“It is a great honor to welcome these outstanding leaders to our monthly program,” said Samuel
Lawrence Foundation President Bart Ziegler, PhD.

The Samuel Lawrence Foundation and our generous partners presented this webinar as part of its First Friday series.

Join us the first Friday of every month for important discussions with leading voices like these.
